Interim Gauteng Cricket Board administrator Ray Mali has confirmed that he has been approached by clubs in the province to step down from his post.

Ray Mali has hit back at athletes and former ASA interim board members who have slammed Sascoc for delaying their exit from the federation.

Athletics stakeholders are upset that the cricket administrator’s tenure at ASA has been extended. Phathisani Moyo reports.

ASA administrator Ray Mali expects the federation’s suspended board members and employees to face disciplinary hearings within the next two weeks.

The IAAF is set to boot suspended athletics boss Leonard Chuene out of the IAAF council, the Mail & Guardian has learned.

Sascoc member Ray Mali on Monday said ASA’s suspended staff had gracefully allowed Sascoc to take over administration of the federation.
